Thank you to everyone who has given me positive (or negative) feedback regarding the songs on 15…I’ve been asked to post the full lyrics by quite a few people so…here they are (don’t blame me!):

PLANE

Verse 1:

Hello again, is someone there

I feel the vein of your despair

I follow through your tracks unknown

You’ve gone a long, long way from home…

Chorus:

How far, will you go, I don’t know yet

How long, will it take before you

Break that plane…

Verse 2:

Hello again, it’s all a dream

Blame me no more for what I seem

I’ve always been here in your mind

But you can’t flee what you can’t find…

Repeat Chorus then guitar solo

Repeat Verse 1

Repeat Chorus and fade…

BREAKDOWN

Verse 1:

Everybody pulls me down

But I can’t seem to find the ground

And everything I’ve ever said

Well we all lie in our own bed….

And every place I’ve ever been

I’ve always left there in the end…

Chorus:

Breakdown

No one’s to blame

But nothing’s the same anymore

Fake smile

No one can know

There’s nobody home anyhow

Take down

All of the pain

And all of the shame from the past

Break ground

There’s nothing to count on

Only that nothing will last…

Verse 2:

A crown of thorns around my head

Makes no difference till I’m dead

And nothing’s good with me around

Nothing’s lost so nothing’s found

And everything I’ve ever done

Has faded like the evening sun…

Repeat Chorus then guitar solo

Repeat Chorus with repeat background to fade…

EMILY

Verse 1:

Before the sun touches the sky

And before these tears have started to dry

Just this once let me sing you goodnight

And try to remember this lullaby…

Chorus 1:

And ohhhh, always know

I will always love you so…ohhhh

Emily yeah…

Verse 2:

Eyes full of wonder, like stars they shine

They fell down from heaven, and made you mine

Or maybe the angels all started to cry

And all of their teardrops were frozen in time…

Chorus 2:

But ohhhh, always know

You will never be alone…ohhhh

Emily…yeah…

Oh…Emily…yeah…

Guitar break

Repeat Verse 1 softer voice

Repeat Chorus 1

Repeat Verse 1 and over lap Oh Emily to end…

NOT THAT KIND

Verse 1:

Seven days and seven nights

You’ve been waiting by the phone

Hoping that I’ll call you up

You don’t wanna be alone

Well I can’t help the way I am

I don’t wanna be tied down

Sittin in some restaurant

Feelin like a clown…

Bridge:

And I don’t wanna hurt your feelings

I don’t wanna bring you down

Please don’t take it personal

I’m just not that kind…

Chorus:

I don’t wanna be your baby

I don’t wanna be your fool

I just wanna be your anything

I just wanna be with you…

And there’s nothing you can say to me

No there’s nothing you can do…

Guitar solo

Verse 2:

Well I tried to make it easy

We can rock & roll all night

Do anything you wanna do

Until we get it right

Well I’m not gonna fight you baby

We don’t have the time

Cause you can draw it out for me

But I can’t walk that line…

Repeat Bridge

Repeat Chorus and ad lib to guitar solo…

Jolene Blalock aka T'Pol

Jolene Blalock aka T'Pol

Okay…this is purely gratuitous I’ll admit…but I just had to do it.  I love Star Trek (pretty much all incarnations of it), and the question many Star Trek fans (usually male, sometimes female) are always debating is:  Who is the hottest Star Trek babe?  Well…now you know my pick!  The Vulcan on “Star Trek:  Enterprise”, played by the INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL Jolene Blalock is my favorite…there were others in the past, but she’s my favorite now that there are no longer anymore Star Trek shows being produced for television.  I’d still be interested in knowing what other Star Trek fans (guys or girls) favorite Star Trek babes are though.  So let me know, and give us all some links to some photos or photo galleries of your favorites!

Here are some more photos of the lovely Jolene Blalock, and a link where you can find hundreds of other incredible photos of her, even some nudes…she is REALLY beautiful!  NOT KIDDING!

Favorite Johnny Depp Movies

Johnny Depp - The Libertine
Johnny Depp – The Libertine

Well, this is just one of those curiousity posts.  It’s concerning, perhaps my favorite actor (who isn’t dead), Johnny Depp…I’ve been a huge fan of his work since the “21 Jump Street” days (which he has said many times he loathed…it DID put him on the path to success though…and he’ll readily admit this).  I’ve seen virtually every movie he’s been in to date (“Public Enemies” was awesome, if somewhat long) and I’m just curious as to what other Johnny D. fans think:  What is/are your favorite movie/movies starring Johnny Depp?  Has anyone besides myself, and maybe a few thousand other people, actually seen “The Libertine”?  If not…you should…the opening monologue itself is worth watching the movie for.  Anyway, I’d love to hear what other people think…what are your favorite Johnny Depp movies?

Okay…this is like a year old, but I finally found it again…I was ROFLMAO when I first saw it…if you get this then you get my sense of humor…seriously, this shit is FUNNY!  You have to watch it:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=umwUoBQmMn0.  I would credit whoever made it, but they only give a screen name, nietsni3…so…there you go.  BTW, give it time to load and then play it again…it’s not audio…it’s written on top of different images of Christian Bale, and it can go pretty fast if you don’t read superfast!  Anyway, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Cool YouTube Videos

Muse is SO DAMN AWESOME!  I wish I’d written this song.  The beat sounds kind of like Lenny Kravitz’s “Are You Gonna Go My Way” I think.  “Supermassive Black Hole” people:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xsp3_a-PMTw.

The original, or at least BEST industrial rock “band”, courtesy of Trent Reznor…Nine Inch Nails…”Head Like A Hole”…LOVE IT people!  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ao-Sahfy7Hg.

Awesome video of Chris Cornell and Chester Bennington doing “Hunger Strike”:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2NxeZVv4Nqk.

I love this video and I hate that I can’t write a song that’s as good as this one by Fall Out Boy (I Don’t Care)!  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Alh6iIvVN9o.

And then God or Something created Rob Zombie!  Yep it’s old, but I can listen to this over and over and over and over…you get the picture…or you will soon if you watch Thunderkiss ’65 by White Zombie!  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yPNFVj-pISU.  Hell ya!!!

Finally, the late, great Layne Staley (R.I.P.)…”Would” SIMPLY kicks ASS!  Alice In Chains people:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i3FnQMSD4Zg.

The War On Drugs…NOT!

leap_billboard2

Okay, I realize this is a controversial topic, yet I also realize that it is an IMPORTANT topic that is VERY MUCH in need of discussion, and if at all possible, the laws concerning it are VERY MUCH as well, in need of changing.  I’ll begin by posting a link that you SHOULD READ:  http://www.leap.cc/cms/index.php .  This link is to a site created BY some of the members of law enforcement, so it’s not just me and other civilians who have been affected by drug use who are interested in changing the laws regarding drug abuse and use.

Now, do I think that people should use certain drugs?  Yes and no.  You may argue semantics with me all day, but virtually EVERYONE I know uses some type of drug, be it caffeine, nicotine, prescription drugs (that they have a legitimate prescription for), or even alcohol (it IS a drug, and will be included as such in this post).  I have DEFINATELY had my battle with illicit prescription drug use and abuse, and YES, it affected my life in a negative way.  In some ways, the drug use and addiction itself is to blame, but in many OTHER ways, the fact that the drugs in question (in my case, prescription painkillers) were illegal, and because they were illegal, they caused FAR more problems in my life on this planet than the actual drug use did!  The fact that I have a CRIMINAL record because I used painkillers (to begin with, because I legitimately needed them), has cost me jobs, cost me money, lumped me in with what society deems “untrustworthy” or “criminal” individuals.  Despite all of this, and with the help of some VERY caring and loving individuals (my family comes #1 to mind!), I have somehow still been able to be a decent father to my child, and to some extent, at least recently, I have been able to find SOME work in the field for which I was trained…computer/IT work that is.  It has cost me infinitely more however, in terms of lost opportunities to pursue OTHER career interests…THIS is a very sad fact, and the result of the modern day equivalent of prohibition.  Prohibition of alcohol DID NOT work at the beginning of the last century…the government rather quickly realized this…and it was subsequently repealed.  It is my opinion that this is what needs to happen with ALL illegal drugs!

Now, once again, that begs the question:  Do I think that people should use drugs?  If you are in need of them for legitimate purposes (and this in and of itself is a topic that I could write a book on…many books HAVE been written on it in fact), then yes…I believe you should use them.  For some of these drugs however, tolerance and then possibly addiction (whether they are prescription drugs, obtained legally or not) will occur.  Addiction is a disease in and as much, as any other disease of the mind.  Believe it!  Drug use, abuse and addiction should be treated as a disease and NOT as a criminal offense…for those people who want to get “clean” and live a responsible, drug-free life, believe me when I tell you, being treated as a criminal, or even legally having a criminal record because of your addiction, WILL NOT HELP you overcome your addiction.  It will, in fact, do the exact opposite…it will make it the greatest challenge of your life (which it is in anycase).  Addicts do not need the extra burden of criminal persecution (note that I didn’t say prosecution, although that is what occurs as well), and social ridicule…they need help from those people who specialize in helping with addiction of all sorts.

Now…are there hopeless cases?  People who neither seek nor wish help for their drug use and abuse?  Of course there are!  For those of you who know me, I’m very much a believer in evolution and thus, natural selection…and this may sound insensitive, but believe me…natural selection WILL take care of those people who truly do not wish to be helped with their addictions!  There are SO many other issues to be addressed concerning the use of drugs, and I would love to have some comments so that those issues can be discussed further.  Again, please read this link:  http://www.leap.cc/cms/index.php and if you agree with me and these people in law enforcement, there is a petition that you can very easily, and relatively anonymously sign at the previously posted link.

In conclusion (at least for now), the War on Drugs aka Prohibition, has NOT worked, does NOT work and WILL NEVER work!  That being said…PLEASE don’t use drugs recreationally…and I say this as a person who has done virtually every drug in existence, as well as a father who would never wish for his daughter to have to go through the HELL that is drug addiction.  I wouldn’t wish that on anyone, certainly not someone I love.  As for me, I have fought the good fight, and have succeeded for the most part (I am still on benzodiazepines, prescribed by my doctor…but per my request, he is slowly tapering me off of them…trust me on this as well, if you take this class of drugs, i.e. Xanax, Klonopin, Ativan, Valium, etc…and you take them daily as prescribed for years…you WILL NOT be able to come off of them easily or overnight, as is the case with most other drugs).  Benzodiazepines are another topic for discussion though…they are perhaps the hardest to quit if you’ve taken them as prescribed on a daily basis (which the package insert specifically says NOT TO DO…doctors regularly prescribe them in this manner anyway), yet they are only a Schedule IV drug, whereas most painkillers are Schedule III or II (the lower the number, supposedly the harder the drug, and the more potential for abuse…again, another topic for discussion).  I also still smoke cigarettes (I’ve quit since I originally wrote this), and drink coffee…well, we all have our vices…I also drink the occasional beer or glass of wine…for me at least, alcohol by itself was never the problem…it is for many however, and it is a drug…in many ways a stronger drug than some illegal ones.

So, let me have it!  What are your thoughts?
